Three surefire ways to increase your views on YouTube without using breaking the bank.
Getting views on YouTube can seem like a loosing battle. Thousands of videos are posted each day making it less likely that yours will be the one to get clicked on. Competition is fierce. That’s why making your video stand out in the sea of exciting content is so important.
It can be as simple as following these three examples.
- Create colorful thumbnails for your videos – it is a fact that colorful thumbnails with the title, or a brief description have a higher click through rate than those videos without. You can always go back to older and videos and add thumbnails, too. I have seen a marked increase in views of older videos using this technique. You may even want to go through and update older thumbnails to freshen up your videos and drive return views.
- Share your videos to social media groups that are ON TOPIC for your videos – I have found that sharing on-topic videos to Facebook and Bluesky has greatly increased their reach. The main takeaway here is that your videos be on-topic for the group you are sharing with. You wouldn’t see to see a video about SEO techniques on a page dedicated to stuffed animals.
- Research your Tags – It is a good idea to search for related terms to your video, and use those terms in your tags. Your video may be about Beanie Babies, but you should still use tags like antique collectors, old toys, etc. This is great way to reel in viewers who are not quite looking for your video but the subject matter crosses over.
